Through research, education and all kinds of action, the Kilian Jornet Foundation works to involve the community, raise awareness about the effects of climate change and provide solutions to specific situations. That is why the conservation of mountain countryside and spreading information about everything related to reducing your climate footprint are some of the main areas on which the Foundation’s projects focus.
One of the upcoming actions through which the Kilian Jornet Foundation will try to involve the community is a joint event with NNormal. It will take place at Cinema Vox in Chamonix on 9 August 2023.
Elevate Earth: Racing for Resilience is an event aimed at making the stories and knowledge of the members of the Kilian Jornet Foundation and NNormal’s ambassador athletes known.
The purpose is to open up the debate on sustainability in the field of trail running and provide ideas for improvement. During the event, some of the projects that the Kilian Jornet Foundation has recently launched will be presented, such as the Athlete Climate Academy, led by Kilian Jornet and Huw James.
There will also be interviews with NNormal athletes and room for the scientific aspect with CREA Mont Blanc, a research centre in the Chamonix area that studies the conservation of alpine ecosystems.
