With the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the KJF is promoting a project focused on the adaptive management of the Natural Interest Area (EIN) of Tossa Plana de Lles and Puigpedrós and the EIN Tossals d’Isòvol and Olopte. This project, aimed at improving conservation status and balancing public use with the preservation of natural heritage, responds to the need to take action against the growing pressure of activities on a landscape of high scenic and biodiversity value.

The Kilian Jornet Foundation embarks on a project of great environmental impact, directing its efforts towards the restoration of mountain trails and degraded areas. This initiative, based on four fundamental lines of work, is seen as a beacon of change in the preservation of natural mountain environments.

While Kilian is pushing the boundaries of human endurance and capability trying to connect the maximum number of 4000m mountains in the Alps, using only human-powered means and local resources, it is equally inspiring to celebrate and respect the natural values in this great region.

Elevate Earth is a live event that fuses knowledge about climate change, science, environmental impact, and outdoor sports.

Calculate your environmental footprint. The main objective of the “Outdoor Footprint” app is to provide knowledge to users, in particular outdoor sports practitioners, about the environmental impact of their sports activities and their daily lifestyle.

Development of an EU sustainability certification system to improve governance and make it greener in sports organizations and outdoor sports racing federations.

The number of people practicing sports activities in the natural environment has increased considerably. In many cases, the new practitioner and those already familiarized with the sport, have a lack of knowledge of the natural values ​​of the environment where they develop the activity. Within this scenario, it is necessary to make the sports community aware of the risks and threats that an irresponsible practice mean to the natural environment.
